

Joan was born November 14, 1951, in Lawrenceburg, TN, the daughter of Russell C. and Jeanette Holt Wildman.
She graduated from Springfield High School in 1969 and attended Lincoln Land Community College. Joan was employed with the State of Illinois for 33 years; working for the Department of Revenue and also for DCFS. She was a member of a medieval role-playing group, the Society for Creative Anachronism, Shire of Swordcliff, where she earned the name Lady Rowena of the Rowanwood. Joan had a good sense of humor and was strong-willed. She was a history buff, especially WWII and British Medieval, and she also enjoyed cooking, reading, and was a book collector.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her sister, Charlotte “Jane” Wildman of Springfield, and cousin, Betty Marie Bailey.
