Elizabeth Betty J. Davidson Knox

She was born October 20, 1930 in Cotton Hill Township, the daughter of the late Hiram M. and Alice M. (Delay) Davidson. She was married to Robert Knox and he preceded her in death in 1987.

Betty retired from CVS Pharmacy in Springfield. She was a member of the Carillonettes.

She is survived by a son, Randy T. (Karen) Hall of Springfield, 5 step-children, 3 step-grandchildren, and 8 step-great-grandchildren, a brother Robert (Karen) Davidson of Springfield, a niece Denise (Marty) Jeter of Springfield, a cousin, Brenda Delay Beach of Homestead, FL, a great-niece, Rebecca Jeter, and a great-nephew, Michael Jeter.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, IL 62703, where visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 10 am till time of the funeral service at 11 am. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home. Rev. Vaughn Beeman will officiate. Interment will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Animal Protective League or Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
