Elliott Walter

Elliott Walter, 67, of New Berlin, died at 8:45 a.m. on Monday, September 4, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born on December 31, 1938 in Island Grove Township, the son of Elmer A. and Margaret Elliott Walter. He married Alice Theilen on December 28, 1957 in Pleasant Plains. He was a graduate of New Berlin High School and farmed his entire life. He was also on the board of the Woodwreath Cemetery and a member of the New Berlin Fire Department and served on their board. He enjoyed working on his farm and playing cards. Elliott will be remembered by friends and family as a kind, gentle and hardworking gentleman. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Alice Walter; one son: Steve (wife, Linda) Walter of New Berlin; two grandchildren: Jerrod (wife, Lindsey) Walter of New Berlin and Jake Walter also of New Berlin; one brother: Jim (wife, Jan) Walter of Florida; two sisters: Dorothy Walter of Florida and Betty Bloedel of Springfield and one aunt, one niece, one nephew and several cousins. The family will receive friends from 4:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin. Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodwreath Cemetery in New Berlin, with Dr. Wayne P.
