Erin Maleah Brown

Erin was born on June 16, 1983, in Palos Heights, IL, the daughter of Kevin Patrick and Tammy Lyn Clark Corley. She married Andy Brown on April 26, 2008, in Pana, IL.

Erin spent most of her youth in Taylorville and was a 2001 graduate of Taylorville High School. She attended SIUE and earned a bachelor’s degree in theater and dance. Erin taught dance at several studios and worked for Edward Jones for 17 years holding many positions, most recently as a Technical Specialist. She was a member of Chatham United Methodist Church. In addition to her love for dance, Erin enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, decorating her home for holidays, cooking, and most of all, spending time with her children.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sally Clark; paternal grandparents, Keith and Mary Corley; step-grandmother, Janet Clark; aunt, Patrice Runyon; and in-laws, Greg and Brenda Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Andy Brown of Chatham; two children, Darcy (10) and Dylan (8) Brown of Chatham; her mother, Tammy (Mark Price) Corley of Farmersville; her father, Kevin Corley of Shelbyville; one brother, Tyson (wife, Terra) Corley of Springfield; maternal grandfather, Rev. Bob Clark of Mattoon, IL; brother-in-law, Erik (wife, Monica) Brown of Wentzville, MO; three nieces, Audrey and Emma Brown, and Sloane Corley; one nephew, Nolan Corley; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Chatham United Methodist Church, 104 West Chestnut St., Chatham.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following the visitation.

Funeral Ceremony: 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Chatham United Methodist Church with Rev. Miriam Snider officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.

At Erin’s request, if you wish to wear bright & happy colors while in attendance, you are encouraged to do so.
