Esther Lois Frey, 93, of Springfield, passed away on February 18, 2024 at the Bridge Care Suites. She was born on January 2, 1931 in Peoria, Illinois to Walter and Martha Ford. Esther married Don Frey in Peoria, Illinois and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Frey is survived by two sons: Jeffrey (Diana) Frey of Springfield and Brad Frey (companion Tracy Cumberland) of Grandy, North Carolina and two grandsons who she adored and was so proud of; Daniel and Joseph Frey. She was preceded in death by two children: Lori and Kevin Frey.
Esther was a devoted mother and homemaker who also worked at Kroger’s and for the Illinois Committee for Children.
Cremation rites were accorded and memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Services are entrusted to Bisch and Son Funeral Home, www.bischandsonfuneralhome.com.
