Eugene "Pete" R. Creason

Pete entered this world on August 26, 1957, in Springfield, IL, the son of Eugene “Gene” and Vera Lucille Dowllar Creason. He married Donna Conant on September 21, 1996, in Springfield; she preceded him in death on September 18, 2001. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, John R. Creason.

Pete attended Lanphier High School and was employed as a mechanic and welder at Arrow Trailer until an injury forced his retirement. He was a member of A.B.A.T.E and enjoyed riding his Harley, building, crafting, fishing and collecting. However, his favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends.

Pete is survived by his daughter, Tiffany (son-in-law, Steven Asbury) Creason of Springfield; grandchildren, Kierra Carver, and Dayten, Anthony, and Grace Asbury, all of Springfield; great-granddaughters, Arabella and Aurora Kusturin of Springfield; sister, Mary (sister-in-law, Kim Winkelmann) Creason of Oakford; long-time friend, Kimberley Creason of Springfield; and friend, Leanne Dufner of Springfield.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.

Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Due to COVID restrictions there will be limited capacity.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
