Eva Marie Willis

She was born in Carlinville, IL February 23, 1938 the daughter of Robert and Bertha (Bridges) Nance. She married Charles Willis in Springfield, June 25, 1993 and he preceded her in death Nov. 20, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter and a sister.

Eva retired from Sally Ward Launderers after several years of service. She was a great cook and enjoyed sharing her signature dishes with family and friends. Eva enjoyed both Yatzee and a good game of Rummy. Above all, was the love and devotion she had for her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Eva is survived by her children; Gregory Crawford of Modesto, IL, Latasha (husband John) Findlay and her step daughter, Brenda Crawford both of Springfield, as well as five grandchildren a great- grandson, a niece and several great nieces and nephews.

Cremation rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory. A graveside service will be held at 10 am Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may direct memorial contributions to the Carol Jo Vecchie Women’s and Children’s Center 415 N. 9th St. Springfield, IL 62702.
