Frank J. Lesko, 89, of Springfield, died at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at his home. Frank was born on March 12, 1925 in Springfield, the son of Joseph and Catherine Juhas Lesko. He married Hazel Murphey on April 12, 1947 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church; she preceded him in death on July 30, 2003. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard during WWII and was employed as a union laborer for many local contractors. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4175 and Laborer Union Local 477. He was a good bowler and enjoyed spending time with his wife, Hazel, his nieces and nephews, and his cats. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He was also preceded in death by his parents and twelve brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Kunz of Springfield and many nieces and nephews. Graveside Ceremony: 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at Calvary Cemetery with Fr.
