

She was born on September 24, 1928, in Springfield, the daughter of Peter and Lena (Woodcock) Pemberton.
Geneva graduated with honors from Feitshans High School in 1945. She married Patrick Owen “Owney” Creviston later in 1946 and they spent 56 years together before he preceded her in death in 2002. They were blessed with three surviving children, Larry (Teresa) Creviston of Springfield, Rhea (Jim) Milburn of Springfield, and Lisa (Jeff) Krumwiede of Carrollton.
Geneva is also survived by her grandchildren, Eric (Lexi) Creviston and Josh, Tanner, and Hannah Krumwiede; great-grandchildren, Hailie, Kali, and Saylor Creviston; a very special niece, Judy (Lanterman) Jackson; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings, George “Robert” Clements, Mable (Clements) Vespa, Lucille (Clements) Lanterman, Dorothy (Pemberton) Nass, and Virginia “Maxine” (Pemberton) Sabo.
Geneva enjoyed sewing, birdwatching, walking around the mall, and her house dogs, including her chihuahua, Cricket. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family very much.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL. A funeral ceremony will follow at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
