
Georgia Ann Ramsay, 82, of Springfield and Ft. Myers, FL, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at St. John�s Hospital. She was born on June 11, 1931 in Harrisburg, IL to George and Ella Comer Nawn. Georgia married Robert Eugene �Gene� Ramsay on August 2, 1955. Georgia was a member of the Church of the Little Flower and St. Theresa Guild as well as a charter member of the St. Columbkille Parish in Ft. Myers, Florida. Mrs. Ramsay was very proud of her Irish heritage and visited Ireland with family several times. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Gene, of Springfield; sons Michael (Sandy) Ramsay and Mark Ramsay all of Springfield; grandsons Jeremy Ramsay and Jason (Melissa) Ramsay of Springfield; 3 great grandchildren; sisters Beth (Tom) McDougall of Springfield and Linda Garrison of Cypress, TX; brother John (Ruth) Nawn of Truth or Consequences, NM, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mark�s long time companion, Joyce Hedrick, preceded Georgia in death. Visitation and Funeral Mass: Her family will greet friends from 9-11am, Thursday, November 14, at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Stevenson Drive, Springfield, 62703. Funeral mass will follow at 11am with Msgr. John Ossola as celebrant. Private family committal service will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Flower Church Capital Campaign. Staab Polk Memorial Home 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, is serving the Ramsay family.
