

Gloria was born on July 24, 1947, in Mexico City, Mexico, the daughter of Ignacio and Esperanza Velez Carrillo. She married Werner Ziebler on September 15, 1974, in Blue Island, IL.
The crown jewel of Gloria’s career was working at Minooka High School. She loved her “kids.” Gloria was a very social person. She enjoyed hosting gatherings, serving as a mentor/coach/advisor to people, and was willing to help anyone. As a lover of the outdoors, she enjoyed nature and working in her garden. Gloria also loved singing, dancing, music, animals, and was an amazing cook. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Society, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Order of the True Kindred.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Ramiro, Rogelio, and Noe Carrillo.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Werner Ziebler; one son, David (wife, Chelsey) Ziebler; adopted son, Alfonso Carrillo; stepson, Carsten Ziebler; two grandchildren, Landon and Leah Ziebler; four siblings, Elvira Martinez, David, Alfonso, and Ignacio Carrillo; godchildren, Erica, Esperanza and Gabriela; and nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
