Guy Martin Anderson

Guy was born on November 6, 1932 in Maywood, IL, the son of Leroy and Helen Weber Anderson. He married Jane Ann Cerre on October 6, 1956 in Peoria, IL.

He was employed as Chairman of the Board of G.M. Anderson and Associates since 1986 until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and a past member of the Roman Cultural Society. Guy was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a very patriotic gentleman who loved his grandkids. He enjoyed reading, swimming, war movies and yard work. He received the Central Illinois Advertising Association Silver Medal Award in 2000.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Kathleen Marquardt.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Ann Anderson of Springfield; one son: Patrick (wife, Kari) Anderson of Springfield, one daughter: Julie (husband, David) MacDonna of Springfield; four granddaughters: Kellie and Katelyn Rush and Jennifer and Amy Anderson; one brother: Leroy (wife, Margaret) Anderson of Crawford, CO and one sister: Mary Watson of Woodstock, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation accorded by Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos, Springfield with Rev. Robert Jallas celebrant.
