Harold C. �H.C.� James, 92, of Sherman, Illinois, and Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011, at St. John�s Hospital. The Simpson County native was the son of the late Oscar R. and Alma Spears James. He married Eleanor Meeks. Mr. James is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eleanor; a son, Harold C. (Jean) James, Jr., of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters, Elaine (Fred) James Nessler of Sherman, IL and Betty (Gary) James Grammer of Bowling Green, KY; two stepsons, Billy W. (Linda) Keown of Barren County, KY and James D. (Daisy) of Simpson County, KY. He is survived by six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several great-stepgrandchildren. Mr. James was a retired medical equipment and surgical supply salesman for Grogan, Inc. of Lexington, KY. He served as hospital administrator for hospitals in Franklin, KY and Lancaster, KY, prior to his thirty years in the medical equipment sales field. Mr. James was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow, KY. He was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class since 1960. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. Mr. James was a member of American Legion Post 62 in Franklin, KY. He was also a member of Glasgow Chapter #20 Disabled American Veterans. Services were held in Glasgow, KY.
