

Harriet I. Maybury, 87, of Springfield, died at 7:55 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at St. John's Hospital. Harriet was born February 8, 1921 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth Kruckeberg Reimer. She married Thomas Maybury on April 14, 1943 in Yuma, AZ. He preceded her in death in 2007. Harriet graduated from Springfield High School and attended Brown's Business College. She retired from the State of Illinois where she was employed as a computer programmer. Harriet belonged to the women's golf league at Bergen Golf Course. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting and never missed one of her grandkids' sporting events. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one son: Mike (wife, Patti) Maybury of Springfield; one daughter: Peg (husband, Leon) Lochbaum of Springfield; four grandchildren: Jeff (wife, Stacey) Lochbaum of Springfield, John (wife, Shannon) Lochbaum of Sycamore, IL, Pamela Watts of Riverton and Thomas "Bub" Maybury of Springfield; eleven great-granchildren; brother, Charles (wife, Camilla) Reimer of Springfield; sister-in-law, Shirley Hirstein of Boca Raton, FL; several nieces and one nephew. Family will receive friends from 11:00 11:45 a.m. followed by a funeral ceremony at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield with Pastor Glen Vanderkloot officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
