

Harry L. King, 81, of Loami, died at 10:41 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Heritage Health. Harry was born on June 10, 1933 in Springfield, the son of Harry Lee and Rutha E. Widdows King. He married Ollie Reach-Stokes on June 26, 1968 in Springfield; she preceded him in death. Harry attended Douglas Elementary and graduated from Lanphier High School. He was employed as a Service Technician for Firestone Tire Service and enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of Loami Christian Church and the Capital City and Tri County Woodworkers. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Dale King; step-sons, Tom and Lynn Stokes; three brothers, Earl, John, and George King; and two sisters, Frances and Irene. He is survived by his sons, Harry Lee King of Loami, Robert King of Decatur, David (Diane) King of Springfield, and Scott (Melissa) King of Shorewood; eight grandchildren, Dustin, Skylar, Garrett, Mina and Chris King, Dawn Holloway, and Wayne and Rick Lawson; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Fred King, Prima (David) Daniels, and Dennis (Peggy) King, all of Springfield, Forrest King of Keshena, WI, and Gene (Marilyn) King of Petersburg; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin. Graveside Ceremony and Burial: will follow immediately after visitation at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Loami, with Pastor Anthony Bliss officiating.
