Helen Alexis Cordier, 86, of Springfield, passed away at 4:49 p.m. November 22, 2001 at St. John's Hospital. Helen was born November 16, 1915 the daughter of James and Veronica Keys in Chicago, IL. She married Harry William Cordier, Jr. September 8, 1947 in Springfield. Helen was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: James, Earl, George and Jerome Keys and one son: Richard Cordier. She is survived by her husband: Harry W. Cordier, Jr. of Springfield; One son James (Wife Judy) Cordier of Springfield; two daughters: Sr. Brendan Jacoby of Springfield, Georgena Jacoby of Colorado; three grandchildren: Tracy (husband, John) Hamlin, Joshua Cordier of Springfield, Zachary Cordier of Springfield and three great grandchildren: Mackenzie, Clayton and Cale Hamlin, all of Springfield. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 10-11:00 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2001. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2001 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Reverend Rodney Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
