Helen L. Miles, 96, of Springfield, died at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2015 at St. John's Hospital. Helen was born April 19, 1919 in Fulton, MO, the daughter of Ira O. and Mary E. Miles. Helen worked for the Department of Housing and Urban Development in Chicago for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her cousin, William (wife, Jacquelyn) Brown of Springfield. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral ceremony at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, with Rev. Seth Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
