Helen Richardson, of Springfield, passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Helen was born July 15, 1925 in Springfield, the daughter of Ubaldo and Nellie Marconi Donini. She married Joseph Edwin Richardson on October 25, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Springfield. Helen was a graduate of Feitshan's High School and most recently worked at Macy's. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, caring for her yard, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Richardson of Springfield; daughter, Jo Ellyn (husband, Joseph) Losch of Alton; two grandchildren, Allyson Losch of Alton and Corey Losch of Hartford; three great-grandchildren, Alec, Toby and Anthony Losch; two sisters, Frances McCue and Kathryn Refine, both of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2119 N. 20th St., Springfield, with Rev. Tom Donovan celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
