

J.R. Pearce, 28, of Springfield, formerly of Taylorville, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born in Heilbronn, West Germany, the son of Jenice L. and Ronald E. Pearce Jr. His great grandparents; Carl and Flora Simpson and Clarence and Mary Holder preceded him in death. He married Christina C. Rum in Taylorville, Mar 6, 2012 and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his children; Ahmar Ross, Demarion Pearce, Garrett Rum, Jaela Pearce, Amira and Maggie Strayer and Anderson Pearce, all of Springfield, his parents, Jenice and Ronny Pearce Jr. of Taylorville, his brother, Brandon Pearce and sister Lauren Pearce both of Taylorville, his grandparents; Ronny and Cathy Pearce Sr. of Gallanton, TN, and Bill and Billie Holder of Villa Rica, GA, his great grandmother Josephine Pearce of Gallanton TN., and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews Cousins and a host of friends.
He was a graduate of Taylorville High School where he was an outstanding, fierce athlete of Basketball, Soccer and Track. J.R. continued his love for athletics especially Soccer playing on various indoor leagues at Soccer World. He was a coach for the YMCA Soccer program and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Fighting Illini fan. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, had a love for music and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
J.R. worked as an assistant manager for McDonald's at Parkway Pointe in Springfield.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen, Springfield, IL where the family will meet friends from 4-7 pm Sunday Jan. 19, 2014 and from 1 pm until time of funeral services at 2 pm Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Hemenway officiating. Cremation Rites will be accorded following services by the Bisch Crematory.
