James B. Haire, 78, of Springfield, died at Memorial Medical Center at 8:47 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2007. He served in the United States Air Force for 30 years. He completed his doctorate in Education and worked for the Illinois State Board of Education for 15 years. He is survived by his wife, Dora J. Haire, of Springfield; his mother, Sarah Haire of North Carolina; three sons James Haire of Bermuda, John (Gail) Haire of O’Fallon, Eric Haire, of Sherman; three daughters: Rebecca Haire of Lake Arrowhead, CA, Debra Joshu (Eric, dec.) of Millstadt, IL, and Erin Haire of Springfield; three brothers, nine grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private family Funeral Mass will be held St. Agnes Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
