

James Allen Lewis, 30, of Springfield, died at 9:09 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. James was born December 29, 1981, the son of David A. and Sherry Frantz Lewis. He married Sara Collins on July 2, 2005 at Rochester United Methodist Church. He graduated from Glenwood High School and earned his Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Lincoln Land Community College. He worked extremely hard to be successful in the computer industry and owned several businesses. He was known for being a friendly, fun-loving guy. He loved coaching his son's Pee-Wee Soccer team. He enjoyed listening to rap music, loved vacationing with his family, especially to Maui, and was an avid car enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ayleen Frantz and Russell and Betty Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Sara of Springfield; two children, Hayden Anthony Lewis and Sydney Ann Lewis, both of Springfield; his parents, David and Sherry Lewis of Springfield; brother and sister, David and Angela, both of Springfield; aunt, Pat McCarthy; mother and father-in-law, Neal and Donna Merrifield of Vienna, VA; brother-in-law, Neal Merrifield, Jr.; and several cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Msgr. John R. Ossola officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: James A. Lewis Memorial Fund at any Marine Bank location. This fund has been setup for his children's education.
