

He was born in chicago, IL September 19, 1946 the son of Marvin and Joan (Maksymowycz) Lewtich. His parents, his first wife, Janna, his son Brandon, and a grandson, Drew Luedtke preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou Lewtich, his step-son Edwin E. "Ed" (wife Joni Paige) Fliege, his step-daughter, Laurel Fliege Leudtke both of Springfield, his grandchildren; Anastasia (husband Lee) Brown of Brooklet, GA, Emerson (Kelsy Broers) James of Springfield, Ben (Jett) Luedtke of Fayetteville, AR, his granddaughter-iin-law, Trisha Luedtke of Algonquin, IL, two great grandchildren; Hazel Brown and Brooklyn Luedtke, as well as several cousins.
Jim earned his masters degree in structural engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. He served in the Chicagoland area for many years before retiring in 2007. He was a diehard Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, standing true through the tough years. He was also a very accomplished gourmet cook and griller. He was of the catholic faith.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date.
