James Wesley Valentine, 52, of Springfield, died at 2:45 p.m. May 21, 2003 at Memorial Medical Center. James was born June 13, 1950 in Springfield the son of Henry and Flora Lee Moore Valentine. He married Dorothy Valentine. Mr. Valentine was employed as an electrician and he was a member of Illinois Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #193. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Dorothy of Springfield; stepdaughter: Juawntia Randle of Decatur; two sisters: Lois (husband, George) Hayse and Marsailles Howard both of Springfield; two brothers: William Valentine of Springfield and Leroy Valentine of St. Louis, MO and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at Camp Butler National Cemtery where the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will conduct military honors. The family of James Wesley Valentine is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
