Janet F. Fitzpatrick Sanderson

She was born December 13, 1955 in Springfield the daughter of the late Vincent Norman “Norm” Fitzpatrick and Marian (Mumbower) Fitzpatrick. She married Archie R. Sanderson, Jr. on August 5, 1978 at First Baptist Church in Springfield.

Mrs. Sanderson worked as Executive Assistant to the president at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield. Prior to that she worked as an administrative assistant at the University of Illinois College of Law in Champaign, IL. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Springfield.

Besides her husband Archie, she is survived by her mother Marian Fitzpatrick of Springfield, a daughter, Megan Sanderson of Springfield, a sister Donna (husband Kent) Sollenberger of Sugar Land, TX, a brother David (wife Jan) Fitzpatrick of Rochester, IL, 1 niece, 3 nephews, 1 great nephew, and her 2 beloved dogs, Jake and Rocky.

She was preceded in death by her father Vincent Norman “Norm” Fitzpatrick.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 4 to 7 pm. Private graveside funeral services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Protective League, 1001 Taintor Rd., Springfield, IL 62702.
