Janice W. Kelly

Janice was born on December 5, 1931, in Mattoon, IL, the daughter of Rex E. and Myra E. Reynolds Welton. She married Donald James Kelly; he preceded her in death.

Janice was a graduate of Springfield High School. She worked for IL Bell Telephone company. Janice was a member of St. Agnes where she sang in the choir for 45 years.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen Kelly Stiles; her parents; son-in-law, Gregory T. Marty; and sister, Norma Jean Ruby.

She is survived by her two sons, Mark (wife, Tracee) and Brian (wife, Shelly) Kelly, both of Springfield; six daughters, Karen (husband, Ken Mitchell) Kelly of Springfield, Maureen (husband, Michael) Sbarbati of Springfield, Patrice (John Amhrein) Kelly of Tucson, AZ, Michelle Marty of Springfield, Jenifer (husband, Phillip) Irving of Springfield, and Lisa (husband, Gary) Lane of Loami; 18 grandchildren, Zemfira Mitchell, Nicholas Sbarbati, Erin Austin, Ryan Kelly, Christopher Kelly, Fonso Greco, Kelly Hurwitz, Brian Greco, Jonathan, Blaine, and DJ Marty, Shane and Devin Kelly, Hayley and Cory Lane, Mackenzie Considine, and Patrick and Caden Kelly; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Lynn Kelly of Naples, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2023, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos Avenue, Springfield with Rev. Daniel J. Bergbower, V.F., celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
