

Jason R. Wardlow, 36, of Springfield, passed away at 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Jason was born April 26, 1979 in Springfield, the son of Kenneth A. and Lynda K. Knapp Wardlow. Jason attended Southeast High School and was currently taking classes at the Springfield Urban League. He was formerly employed at U.S. Autoforce. Jason enjoyed spending time in Meredosia, cold beers, and camp fires. Jason always had a smile and a joke for everyone. He was also willing to help others and loved his daughters and family immensely. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Mary Knapp and Joe and Alberta Wardlow; his great-grandparents, Chaudoin and Knapp; and cousin, Steven Knapp. He is survived by his parents, Kenny and Lynda Wardlow of Springfield; two daughters, Skylar Wardlow of Athens and Ameilya Wardlow of Springfield; one brother, Jacob Wardlow (companion, Mindy Gunn) of Chatham; two sisters, Kristy Wardlow of Springfield and Kimberly McKinney of Virden; nieces and nephews, Zakary, Karsyn, Napoleon, Kaylynne, Noah, Kylie, Cami, and Codi; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Deacon David Sorrell officiating. Burial will follow at Youngblood Cemetery in Nortonville, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Skylar and Ameilya benefit account through any Marine Bank location for his children.
