Joan C. Dombrowski, 85, of Springfield, died at 4:20 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2004 at St. John’s Hospital Hospice. Joan was born September 12, 1919 in Chicago, the daughter of Anthony and Tekla Karlauskas Charaske. She married Walter Dombrowski on October 1, 1938 in Chicago; he preceded her in death on August 28, 1999. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ The King Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Louise de Marillac Guild, Altar and Rosary Society and St. Joseph’s Home Coterie. She is survived by three sons: Robert J. (wife, Chrystal) of Mequon, WI, Ronald C. (Companion, Diann Reed) of Springfield and Joseph P. (wife, Rebecca) Dombrowski of Springfield; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and sister: Thecla Rack of Kenosha, WI. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Msgr. David Lantz celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
