Joanne Louise Stockus, 75, lifelong resident of Springfield, passed away at 8:15 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2000 at Oak Terrace Healthcare Center. She was born April 9, 1925 the daughter of Vincent and Mary Danko Nebuloni. She married Anthony ''Tony'' Stockus on June 1, 1946 at St. Aloysius. He preceded her in death on August 8, 1988. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Anthony; and one brother: Louis Nebuloni in 1934 Mrs. Stockus was a lifelong member of St. Aloysius Church. She had worked for the State of Illinois at the Legislative Reference Burea for over 25 years and later retired from her position there. She is survived by her two daughters: Suzanne (husband-Giovanni) Colombo of Springfield, and Mary (husband-Patrick) Deloney of Springfield; and three grandchildren: Reier Deloney, Claudia Colombo, and Gian Colombo. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2000 with a wake service at 5 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. John Titus at St. Aloysius Catholic Church at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 28, 2000 Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
