John Thomas Armstead

John Thomas Armstead, 26, of Springfield, died at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at his home. John was born February 17, 1989 in Springfield, the son of John A. Armstead and Annette St. Clair. John was a 2007 graduate of Glenwood High School and loved all things sports, playing cards, and dogs. He was an avid Florida State, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Cubs fan. Johnny loved going to Florida with his Papo and Da. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas L. "Papo" Armstead. He is survived by his mother, Annette (husband, Ken) Lehman of Loami; father, John A. Armstead of Rochester; six siblings, Jennifer (husband, Joey) Hayes of Loami, Rachel (husband, Tim) Turley of Loami, Bre Lehman of Springfield, Karl Ladage, Cassandra Lehman and Nicholas Lehman, all of Loami; grandparents, Janet "Da" Armstead of Sarasota, FL, Evelyn Morgan of California, and William St. Clair of Myrtle Beach, SC; nieces and nephews, Taylor and Trenton Turley, and Shane Hayes; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Celebration of Life: The family will host a Celebration of Life from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Knights of Columbus Council 364, 2200 South Meadowbrook, Springfield.
