John Frances ''Jack'' McHenry

John Frances “Jack” McHenry, 58, of Springfield, passed away at 11:34 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. John was born November 14, 1943 the son of Louis D. and Dorothy Agnes Donelan McHenry in St. Louis, Mo. He married Dorothy February 17, 1973 at St. Augustine of Canterbury in Belleville, IL Mr. McHenry attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He was District Sales Manager for Heineken USA Incorporated in the state of Illinois with the exception of Chicago. He was a past member of Knights of Columbus as well as a past member of Elks Club. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and through Heineken he sponsored an annual golf tournament for Cystic Fibrosis research. He volunteered for St. John’s Breadline and was also a volunteer for Friend in Deed. He was preceded in death by his father: Louis D. McHenry and one brother: Jim McHenry. He is survived by his wife: Dorothy S. “Dot” McHenry of Springfield; two sons: Terrence McHenry of Springfield, Sean McHenry of Springfield; mother: Dorothy A. McHenry; six brothers and sisters: Mary Lou (husband, Phil) Springer of Springfield, Robert “Rob” (wife, Vickie) McHenry of Springfield, Edward J. (wife, Catherine) McHenry of Springfield, Theresa Margaret Vose of Springfield, Thomas Mark (wife, Michele) McHenry of Springfield, Patricia “Patty” (husband, Meco) Patzius of Ballwin, MO; one uncle: William “Pinky” McHenry; two aunts: Marie Howell of Cape Girardo, Catherine Steitz of St. Louis and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 3-7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2002. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2002 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Reverend William Kessler celebrant.
