

John Page, 88, of Springfield, died at 11:55 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at St. John's Hospice. John was born on January 30, 1920 in Mahanoy, PA, the son of John and Mary Hrabcsak Pjatak. John was a graduate of Rider University and retired from the Illinois Commerce Commission in 1990 as a forensic financial analyst. He took part in the Second World War serving in the United States Air Force attaining the rank of Captain before being honorably discharged. John was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Joseph and Andrew Page. He is survived by his son, John D. Page of Chicago and his daughter, Rita M. Page of Sanford, FL. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos, Springfield with Rev. Robert J. Jallas, celebrant. Cremation will be accorded following the Funeral Mass by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Graveside ceremony will be at 12 noon on Monday, July 7, 2008 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with the Interveteran's Burial Detail of Sangamon County performing military honors.
