Jonathan Edward Alexander Baer

He was born in Springfield, IL, June 7, 1990 the son of Steven and Rhonda (Moffett) Baer. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ed and Helen Baer, his maternal grandfather, John Moffett and a brother, Michael Baer.

Jon was a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia where he studied Marketing and Business. He moved to St. Louis where he worked for the Professional Employment Group as an Engineer Recruiter. He was a member of Temple B’rith Shalom and B’nai B’rith. Jon was a volunteer and participated with ALS Walks and was a member of the Young Republicans.

Jon is survived by his parents, Steven and Rhonda Baer of Springfield, his sister, Melissa (husband Kedric) Busch of Columbia, MO, his maternal grandmother, Marie Moffett of Springfield, three nephews; Cohen, Sutton and Isaac Busch, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The Baer family will receive friends at the Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL from 3-6 pm Sunday, April 10, 2016.

Funeral Service: A funeral service will be held at 10 am Monday, April 11, 2016 at the funeral home with Rabbi Michael Datz officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
