

She was born Dec. 21, 1939 in Hillsboro, IL the daughter of Albert and Alberta (Kaiser) Zupanci. She married Samuel “Ed” McCall in Hillsboro, Aug. 26, 1960 and he survives.
Josephine is also survived by her children; Jane Elizabeth Jesse of Bloomington, IL, Samuel Brent McCall of Auburn, IL and Eric William (Tracy) McCall of Chatham, her ten grandchildren: Samantha R. Jesse, Sarah A. Jesse, Danielle McCall, Devin McCall, Dakota McCall, Zachariah McCall, Lindsay D. McCall, Kailey M. McCall, Gabrielle P. McCall and Olivia E. McCall. She has three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Janet Hlousek, and a grandson, Joshua McCall.
Josephine graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL with a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Language. She taught Spanish at Virden High School for 10 years. She then became the owner and director of Kiddie Korner Daycare in Chatham. She was a member and served as past president of the G.F.W.C. Illinois Federation of Women Club, and a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Springfield. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was a phenomenal grandma.
Visitation: The McCall family will receive friends and family from 4-7 pm Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015 at Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL 62711
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Rev. Joshua T. Traxel will officiate. Burial will follow in Chatham Cemetery, Chatham, IL.
