

Judith M. Brake, 77, of Springfield, died at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Johns Hospital. Judith was born August 17, 1940 in Springfield, the daughter of Arthur and Evelyn Long Rudolph. Judith was employed as a dispatcher beginning with Everest Transportation, then Mayflower, and Laidlaw. She also previously worked as a manager for Dollar General. She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Club. Judith enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, watching football, bull riding, and figure skating, playing BINGO, but her greatest achievement was raising her children on her own. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Barbara Bradley and Mildred DiPasquale. She is survived by her sons, Gary L. Brake and Robin Brake; daughters, Brenda Brake (Mark Barber), Judith Renee Hall (Kevin Hall), Jacqueline Brake (Paul Metz) and Holly Jo Brake all of Springfield; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, William Rudolph, David (wife, Nancy) Rudolph, Tom (wife, Sharon) Rudolph, Ron (wife, Donna) Rudolph, Dan Rudolph, Linda (husband, Mark) Heissinger, and Terry (husband, Lloyd) Darling. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Graveside Ceremony: 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Buckhart Cemetery with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
