

She was born on January 28, 1924 in Dundas Ontario, Canada the daughter of the late James and Margaret M. (McMurrich) Bicknel. She was raised by her adoptive parents Walter and Beatrice Burgoin, who also preceded her in death. Kay married Vincent D. Kuchen on May 24, 1947 in Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death on May 19, 1992.
Kay was a homemaker and also worked as a waitress for the Hen House, Denny’s Country Kitchen, and Farmer’s Table restaurants. She was an exceptional Mother and a loyal friend to all who knew her.
She is survived by her children Catherine A. (husband Dr. Gerry) Larmore of Burlington, WI; Daniel V. Kuchen (companion Ellen Elam) of Taylorville, IL; Ruth K. Holmes (companion Mr. Kelly D. Whipple) of Springfield; David Kuchen (companion Theresa Pokora) of Springfield; Noreen (husband Rodney) Hopkins of Green Bay, WI; and Margaret (Peggy) Perkins of Springfield; Grandchildren, Kelly and Darcy Larmore, Tina (husband Terry) Ward, Andrew and Ross Hopkins, and Rico and Emilio Perkins; and Great-grandson, Trent Ward.
Besides her parents and husband, Kay was preceded in death by sisters, Doris, Janet, and Margaret, and adoptive brothers, Donald and George.
Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield where visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 10:30 am until time of the funeral service at 12:30 pm. The service will also be at the funeral home with Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
