Katie Reynolds

Katie was born May 24, 1944, in Pleasant Plains, IL, the daughter of Benjamin and Katie Cauvill Kissick. She married Jerry Reynolds on June 2, 1962.

Katie graduated from St. John’s College of Nursing and was employed as an LPN in Pediatrics at St. John’s Hospital for 28 years. She was a caring, loving, and family-oriented person. Katie enjoyed ceramics, flower arrangements, collecting Mickey and Minnie memorabilia, and dolls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and five sisters.

Katie is survived by her husband, Jerry Reynolds of Springfield; children, Jerry (Rita) Reynolds of Springfield, Sabra (Clifford) Dyas of Elburn, IL, and Kathi (Brent) Wallner of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, Jessica, Ben, Whitney (Jamie), C.J. (Stephanie), Remington (Laura), Katie, Lexi, and Ashley; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.

Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Butler Funeral Homes-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St. A ceremony will follow at 3:30 p.m. with daughter/Rev. Sabra Dyas and grandchildren, Rev. C. J. and Katie Dyas officiating. Illinois COVID-19 guidance will be followed, requiring face coverings.
