Kelly Kathleen Bunn

Kelly Kathleen Bunn, 45, of Springfield, died at 4:33 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at St. John's Hospital. Kelly was born August 6, 1968 in Staunton, the daughter of John Michael and Marilyn Walsh Bunn. Kelly graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1986 and earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina. She volunteered at Church of the Little Flower where she served as president of the Ladies Guild and was on the Pastoral Council. She enjoyed traveling, decorating, cooking, planning events, volunteering, and she enjoyed her time boating on Lake Springfield. She was preceded in death by her father, John Bunn and her grandparents, Willard and Ruth Bunn, Sr. and Michael and Emma Walsh, all of Springfield. She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Bunn of Atlanta, GA; her sister, Margaret Mary Bunn Lochmandy, husband Jeff, of Atlanta, GA; her beloved nieces, Regan and Abbie Lochmandy; several cousins; and her two rescue dogs, Murphy and Tate. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Stevenson Dr., Springfield with Rev. Msgr. John R. Ossola, celebrant. Reception: Family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Panther Creek Country Club, 3001 Panther Creek Dr., Springfield. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
