Kenneth Fry, 55, of Springfield died at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at St. Louis University Hospital. Kenneth was born September 7, 1952 in Springfield, the son of Dale E. and Martha Crowder Fry. He was preceded in death by his father. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served as a military policeman during Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal. He was employed as a cab driver for Lincoln Cab Company. He is survived by his mother: Martha Fry of Springfield; two daughters: Michelle Huie of Springfield, and Shaun Kimbler of Arizona; three grandchildren; and one brother: Larry (wife, Renae) Fry of Etna Green, IN. Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Graveside services will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Scott Brindley officiating. The Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will provide military honors.
