Larry was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 8, 1955, spending his childhood in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
He concentrated his education towards achieving the level of ASE Certified Master Auto Technician. Larry moved to the Oregon Coast, which he dearly loved, and made a life there for many years. In 1993, Larry moved his family to Humble, Texas, where he engaged in the automotive repair profession. He realized his dream by opening Dr. Larrys Automotive, and he owned and operated this highly respected business for many years before his recent return to Illinois.
Larrys love for the outdoors began with the Boy Scouts of America where he attained the coveted award of Eagle Scout. He preferred wide open spaces, taking in the beauty of this world from the seat of his Harley. Riding was his passion, and along the way, he was blessed to have built many long-lasting friendships. Larry was an exceptional cook and grill master, always learning and sharing his gifts, much to the joy of those around him. He enjoyed watching drag racing and Da Bears.
Larry loved his country and had enormous respect for the military, first responders, fire, and police personnel. He organized and sponsored several Military Appreciation events, and could be found preparing meals for first responders after Hurricane Harvey. Larry was fierce in his love for the Lord and his family. His heart of gold, a willing hand to lift up others, and a sense of humor that brought brightness to the lives of those around him will be greatly missed.
Larry is held in loving remembrance by his son, Nathan D. Krueger of Kingwood, Texas; three grandchildren; his parents, Victor and Mary Krueger of Arlington Heights, Illinois; siblings, Andrea Liston (James) of San Diego, California, Teresa Hickman (Norman) of Springfield, Illinois, Theodore Krueger (Patty) of Valencia, California, and Patricia Grill (Russell) of Pleasant Plains, Illinois; many nieces and nephews; and of course, Jasmine.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Towilla L. Krueger; siblings, Cathleen R. Wilson and Allen V. Krueger; and the love of his life, Pamela (P.J.) Manning.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in Illinois.
