Laura Gentile, 88, of Springfield, died at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard. Laura was born on April 14, 1917 in Riverton, the daughter of Bernardino and Asunta Frasco Gentile. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She retired from the State of Illinois Secretary of State’s office. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, one brother: Patrick Gentile and four sisters: Norma Roscetti, Susie Gentile, Mary Baldoni and Ethel Petrone, one nephew and two great nephews. She is survived by one sister: Louise Giordano of Springfield and seventeen nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield with Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Holinga, VF, officiating.
