Lee Alan Edwards

He was born on January 6, 1955 in Springfield, the son of the late Milton Edwards and Delores J. Sharp. He married Carolyn Armstrong on Jan 7, 1982 in Garland, TX and she survives.

Lee worked as building manager for General Services Administration. He was a member of Lincoln Land Baptist Church in Springfield and the American Harley Express (AME). He served in the U.S. Army.

Besides his wife Carolyn, he is survived by a daughter Leean Edwards of Girard, IL, his step-dad Allan (companion Joan Smith) Sharp, a brother Barry (wife Kathy) Edwards of Springdale, AR, a sister Lisa (husband Michael) Hart of Springfield, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 11 am at the funeral home, with Dr. Rod Mattoon officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, rural Springfield.

Memorials may be made to Lincoln Land Baptist Church in Springfield.
