Linda Kay Perry

Linda Kay Perry, 68, of Springfield, died at 9:20 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at her home. Linda was born October 8, 1950 in Springfield, the daughter of Charles L. and Velma L. Keeling Clendenin; they preceded her in death. She married Douglas A. Perry on July 29, 1968; he preceded her in death on September 23, 2013. Linda graduated from Herrin High School, class of 1968. She worked for TJ MAXX for 18 years. She was a member of American Legion Post 809 Auxillary. She enjoyed fishing, watching TV, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Cristina McDonald (Anthony Smith) of Springfield; siblings, Shirley (Steve) Williams of West Frankfort, Charles (Brenda) Clendenin of Johnson City, and Ernest (Paula) Clendenin of Herrin; four grandchildren, Greg McDonald, Doug Fuller, Stephen Pierceall and Anthony Clark; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following visitation. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
