

Loren Lee "Bud" Lewis, 90, of Casa Grande, AZ, formerly of New Berlin, died December 11, 2012 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. Mr. Lewis was born October 16, 1922 in Alexander, IL, the son of Earl and Augusta Lewis. He was a press brake operator and a member of the U.A.W. in IL for 30 years. He loved baseball, since he was a youth, and was an avid St, Louis Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Phoenix Suns fan. He was a Christian and loved traveling, experiencing new things and places, and most of all spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by two wives, Dorothy M. and Mary E.; his parents; two brothers; four sisters; and three grandchildren. He is survived by two sons, Joseph (Linda) and Vernon Burger, of Springfield; three daughters, Sandra (Pat) Hennessey of Casa Grande, AZ, Gloria Whiteside of Glendale, AZ, and Kathleen (Rick) Caruthers of Waverly; sister, Ruth Jones of Peoria; brother, James Lewis of Springfield; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2012 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin. Funeral Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home with Warren Brosi officiating. Burial will follow at Woodwreath.
