As a part of the OS praise team I remember Lucas as a toddler:) always smiling, and just a joy to be around. My heart breaks that he is no longer here but rejoices in the gift of eternal life through Jesus. My deepest condolences to you Enoch, Kristin, Sydney. May God our father, in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit, bring you comfort.

Petersen family, we are so sorry for your loss. The Oasis staff spent a portion of our faculty meeting lifting you up. Lucas' "buddy bench" will always be a memorial to a boy that lifted our spirits and spent a portion of his life with us. His buddy bench got mentioned multiple times in our recent accreditation document to prove how we are reaching out to those who are hurting. In one of my last conversations with Lucas, I asked him what meal he would miss the most in Turkey. He said, "KFC!" :) We send out love and continual prayers that you will experience God's peace in these darkest of times. We love you from Oasis. -Sara Campbell

I remember coming to Ankara and having him beside me watching the OASIS Varsity team Play soccer and Lucas had a love and passion towards soccer. He would ask me for tips and ways to improve his soccer skills. After him leaving Ankara, it was so much fun following him on social media and his youtube channel showing off his soccer free-kicks. haha the best and most fun time I had with him was playing multiplayer ping pong and taking shots at with no shirt on, haha his skin was a bit white compared to others and we would see the ping pong ball making red dots on his body like a snake bite hahah... RIP my brother. Love you man.

We are so saddened to hear of Lucas’ passing. I remember Lucas as such a fun kid with the cutest face! I never knew what he was going to say during our piano lessons, but that was what was so fun about them. I will always remember him as a kid full of life, energy, and joy, with a heart of gold. We are so thankful for the time we shared with your family in Turkey. We will lift you up in our prayers, praying for the peace that passes all understanding. Sending you our love and prayers from Spain.

Enoch, Kristin, & Sydney,
Our hearts are broken for you, and we are grieving the loss of Lucas. We remember him vividly around age 10: the big grins he'd flash when telling his elementary-boy-style jokes, how easily he conversed with anyone and everyone, and his eagerness to be part of worship by drumming on the Cajon and volunteering to pray aloud. He was a joy and a blessing. We are praying that the Lord sustain you in this time of sorrow, and that you hold tight to His promise of eternal life.
