Margaret F. "Franny" Carriger

Franny was born at home in rural Sangamon County, May 13, 1923 the daughter of Raymond and Margaret (Dice) Pyle. She married Elmer F. Carriger August 26, 1961 and he preceded her in death, April 4, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers: Kenny, Charles and Harold Pyle, and her step-son, Michael Carriger.

Franny worked as a sales associate with S.A. Barker department store for several years. She retired from there to care for her home and family. She enjoyed her family and especially holiday gatherings. She loved to hear and share in the activities of her family, especially her granddaughter and her great grandsons.

Franny is survived by her son, Michael “Mike” (Marilyn) Sebring, her granddaughter, Jennifer (Casey) Finley, her two great grandsons; Jacob and Ryan Finley, all of Sherman, IL, her step-son Dan Carriger of Springfield, two sisters; Ruth Butler of Virden, IL and Marilyn Garmon of Ashland, IL, her sister-in-law, Helen Pyle of Berlin, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are in the care of Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield, IL where the family will greet friends on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am. Pastor Joshua Theilen will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodwreath Cemetery, west of Springfield.
