

Margaret Herbold, 56, of Springfield, died at 7:21 a.m., Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center. Margaret was born June 20, 1948 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Paul Carter and Irene Brookman Andrews. She married Master Sergeant James Herbold in Oklahoma City, OK. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Herbold was a graduate of Normandy High School in St. Louis, MO and attended Lincoln Land Community College receiving an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Law Enforcement in 1986. She worked as a security guard in various retail stores. She was a former member of Model United Nations at Lincoln Land Community College. She enjoyed listening to piano music and her favorite flower was the Sunflower. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul Andrews. She is survived by one son: Donald E. (wife, Janie) Swindel of Springfield; daughter: Cindy (husband, Casey) Morris of Puyallup, WA; five grandchildren; sister: Loy (husband, Lilburn) Deskins of Marble Hill, MO two brothers: Jack and Charles Andrews; four nieces; two nephews and several cousins. Cremation accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2005 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA with the USMC Honor Guard presiding. The family of Margaret Herbold is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
