Marilou Wasilewski

Marilou was born October 9, 1942, in Prophetstown, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Lenora (Wildman) Waite. She married Michael A. Wasilewski on January 16, 1965, in Prophetstown, IL.

Marilou graduated from Prophetstown High School and was employed as a teller with Erie State Bank. She was a member of Christ the King Church and a mother of three wonderful children. Marilou enjoyed yardwork and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Lyle, Arlyn, Neil, and Jerry Waite; and one sister, Joyce Hiland.

Marilou is survived by her husband, Mike Wasilewski of Springfield; sons, Michael (Althea) Wasilewski of Naperville, IL and Matthew (Brenda) Wasilewski of Sheffield, IL; daughter, Marissa (Michael) Moss of Bloomington, IL; grandchildren, Malia and Marin Moss, and Alaina, Ryan, and Audra Wasilewski; and brother, Joe (Cheri) Waite of Prophetstown, IL.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.

Memorial Gathering and Funeral Mass: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Christ the King, 1930 Barberry, Springfield, IL. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Clinton Honkomp, OP, celebrant.

Inurnment will follow at Immaculate Octagon Columbarium at Calvary Cemetery.
