

Marilyn F. Bradford, 80, a lifelong resident of Springfield, died at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at St. John’s Hospital. Marilyn was born October 8, 1926 in Springfield, the daughter of Francis B. and Lena M. Galligan. She married Guy Richard Bradford on August 17, 1947 at St. Agnes Church in Springfield. Marilyn was a graduate of Springfield High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. Her faith was very important to her. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years: Guy Richard Bradford of Springfield; two sons: Rich (wife, Joan) Bradford of Parkton, MD and Bill (wife, Darcy) Bradford of Winterville, NC; one daughter: Sue (husband, Mike) Disco of Springfield; seven grandchildren: Michelle, Amanda, Emily, Alexandria, Victoria, Christina and Erica; one brother: Warren (wife, Agnes) Galligan of Springfield; two sisters: Doris Garrison of Springfield and Elizabeth Buhrman of Neward, DE; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos Ave., Springfield with Rev. Robert Jallas, celebrant. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
