

Marjorie Marr Sebring, 93, of Springfield, passed away at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at her residence. Marjorie was born on November 5, 1923 in Greensburg, Kentucky, the daughter of George W. and Audrey Marcum Marr. She married Charles Sebring in 1942 in Bates, IL; he preceded her in death. Marjorie was a graduate of New Berlin High School. She was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church. Marjorie was also a member of the Kings Daughters, PEO, and volunteered at the library. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Marjorie was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George and Thomas Marr; and one sister, Melissa A. Ciota. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (husband, David M.) Freeman of Bentonville, AR; two grandchildren, Jessica Audrey (husband, Dan) Cardelein of Denver, CO and Michelle (husband, Scott) Freeman Owens of Richmond, VA; two great-grandchildren, Maya and Gabe Owens; four nieces; and five nephews. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 East Gibson St., New Berlin. A Funeral Ceremony will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Chaplain Tim Haworth officiating. Burial will follow at Woodwreath Cemetery.
