She was born on November 17, 1925 in Jacksonville, IL, the daughter of the late George H. and Elizabeth (Wells) Stubblefield.
Marjorie worked as a switchboard operator for Illinois Bell/Ameritech Phone Co.
She is survived by several cousins.
Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 10:30 am until 11 am. Graveside funeral service will then be held at 11:30 am that day at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
Memorials may be made to Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
